Privacy Policy — Clock

Privacy Policy

App: Clock (package: com.clock.glass.nine)
Effective date: 11 August 2026
Last updated: 11 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Clock mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App on Android. It is written to align with Google Play Developer Program policies, Google Play’s User Data requirements, and advertising disclosures for apps that use Google AdMob.

Summary: Clock is a clock, alarm, timer, and stopwatch utility. Core alarm/timer preferences are stored on your device. The App uses Internet access for ads and Google Firebase services. We do not require you to create an account and we do not knowingly collect personal identity information such as your name, email, or phone number inside the App’s own features.

1. Who we are

The App is published as Clock for Android. For privacy questions, contact: support@clockglass.app (replace with your public support email before publishing on Google Play if different).

2. Information we process

2.1 Information stored on your device (local only)

The App stores the following locally using Android DataStore / SharedPreferences so features work offline:

  • Alarm schedules and related settings (time, labels, snooze, vibrate preferences)
  • Timer and stopwatch state / recent timers
  • World-clock city selections (time zone tools)
  • Display preferences (24-hour format, theme, dynamic color, clock view, animation intensity, haptics)
  • Onboarding completion flag
  • Cached AdMob application ID for reliable ad SDK initialization

This local data is used to provide the App’s core functionality and is not uploaded by the App to a developer-operated user account database.

2.2 Automatically collected / third-party technical data

When the App has network access, Google services may process device and usage data as described in their policies, including:

  • Device identifiers and advertising identifiers (for ads measurement/personalization subject to your device settings)
  • IP address, approximate network information, and device/app diagnostics
  • Crash logs and performance metrics
  • Analytics events about App usage
  • Ad impressions, clicks, and related advertising events

3. Android permissions and why we use them

The App requests only permissions needed for its features:

  • INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — load ads, Firebase configuration, analytics/crash/performance services, and open linked URLs.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — show alarm and timer notifications (requested at runtime on Android 13+).
  • VIBRATE — vibration for alarms and optional haptic feedback.
  • WAKE_LOCK — keep the device awake while an alarm/timer alert is active so alerts are reliable.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — restore scheduled alarms/timers after device reboot or App update.
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — schedule precise alarm and timer alerts.
  • USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT — display full-screen alarm UI when the screen is locked (where permitted by the OS).
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE — run foreground services for alarm ringtone playback and ongoing timer countdown notifications.

The App does not request access to contacts, SMS, call logs, precise location, microphone, camera, photos/media library, or body sensors for its own features.

4. How we use information

  • Provide clock, alarm, timer, stopwatch, widgets, and time tools
  • Deliver notifications and keep schedules reliable after reboot
  • Show advertisements (banner, interstitial, app open, native) and related fallback creatives
  • Retrieve remote ad configuration (for example ad unit IDs) via Firebase Realtime Database
  • Measure stability and performance (Crashlytics / Performance) and understand aggregate usage (Analytics)
  • Comply with law and Google Play policy requirements

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays ads using Google AdMob (and may open advertiser/website URLs in an in-app WebView). Ads help keep the App available. AdMob and its partners may collect and process data such as advertising ID, IP address, device information, and interaction with ads to provide, personalize, measure, and combat fraud in advertising.

Learn more: Google Privacy Policy, AdMob & privacy, and how to control ads in Android Settings (for example Reset advertising ID / Delete advertising ID, and ad personalization controls available on your device/Google account).

If a native ad fails to load, the App may show a fallback promotional card configured remotely (title, description, image, icon, button text, and URL). Tapping it may open an external link in a browser or WebView.

6. Firebase / Google services

We use Google Firebase services, which may process data under Google’s terms and privacy policy:

  • Firebase Analytics — app usage analytics
  • Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting and diagnostics
  • Firebase Performance Monitoring — performance metrics
  • Firebase Realtime Database — remote configuration for advertising identifiers/URLs and related non-personal app configuration (not used as a personal profile store)
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (if enabled by Google libraries) — message delivery infrastructure; the App’s primary alerts are local alarm/timer notifications

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by:

  • Google LLC and affiliates (AdMob, Play services, Firebase) as independent controllers/processors under their policies
  • Advertising partners participating in AdMob demand, as disclosed by Google
  • Authorities when required by law

8. Data retention

  • On-device App data: retained until you clear App storage, uninstall the App, or delete data in-App where available.
  • Google/Firebase/AdMob logs: retained according to Google’s retention practices.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a consumer utility app (OS sandboxing, limited permissions, encrypted transport for Google service endpoints). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through third-party services linked to the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Advertising may be subject to Google’s families / child-directed treatment rules; do not designate the App as primarily child-directed unless you fully comply with Play Families policies and AdMob child-directed settings.

11. Your choices and rights

  • Grant or deny notification permission in system settings
  • Control exact alarms / full-screen intents where Android provides toggles
  • Reset/delete advertising ID and limit ad personalization in device/Google settings
  • Clear App data or uninstall to remove local preferences and schedules
  • Depending on your region (for example EEA/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data held by service providers — contact us and/or Google using their privacy tools

12. International processing

Google may process data on servers outside your country. By using the App, you understand that such transfers may occur subject to Google’s safeguards and applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect App changes or legal/policy requirements. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.

14. Google Play Data safety (disclosure aid)

For Play Console Data safety form alignment (verify against your live build before submission):

  • Collected / shared via third parties: Device or other IDs; App interactions / diagnostics / crash logs; Advertising data (through Google AdMob/Firebase)
  • Purposes: App functionality, analytics, advertising or marketing, fraud prevention/security, developer communications (diagnostics)
  • Account creation: Not required by the App
  • Encryption in transit: Yes for Google service endpoints
  • Users can request deletion: Local data via uninstall/clear storage; third-party data via Google privacy tools / your support contact
